CHAMOMILE Tea Recipe

Calming Herbal Tea for Sleep & Relaxation

Chamomile tea is a gentle, naturally caffeine-free herbal infusion known for its calming effects, digestive support, and ability to promote restful sleep. This easy chamomile tea recipe is perfect for winding down in the evening or soothing an upset stomach.

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1–2 teaspoons dried chamomile flowers
  • (or 1 chamomile tea bag)
  • 1 cup hot water (about 200°F / 93°C)
  • Optional1 teaspoon raw honey, 1 lemon slice, Fresh mint leaves

INSTRUCTIONS Bring water to just below boiling. Place chamomile flowers or tea bag into a mug. Pour hot water over the chamomile and cover. Let steep for 5–10 minutes depending on desired strength. Strain loose flowers if needed. Add honey, lemon, or mint to taste.

SAFETY TIPS Avoid if allergic to ragweed or similar plants. Consult a healthcare provider if pregnant or taking medications. Use in moderation for best results.

 

 

CHAMOMILE Moon Milk Recipe

This soothing chamomile milk, often called “moon milk,” is a calming, caffeine-free bedtime drink perfect for promoting relaxation and restful sleep. It combines gently steeped chamomile with warm, creamy milk and a touch of natural sweetness for a comforting nighttime ritual.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based such as almond, oat, or coconut)
  • 1–2 teaspoons dried chamomile flowers
  • or 1 chamomile tea bag
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS Warm the milk in a small saucepan over low heat until hot but not boiling. Add chamomile tea bag or flowers directly into the milk. Remove from heat, cover, and steep for 5–7 minutes. Remove tea bag or strain out flowers. Sweeten & Stir in honey, cinnamon, and vanilla if using. Pour into a mug and enjoy before bedtime.

Chamomile Melt & Pour Soap

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb melt & pour soap base (goat milk, shea butter, or clear)
  • 1–2 tbsp dried Chamomile Fliwers
  • 10–15 drops chamomile essential oil
  • 1 tsp honey (optional – adds moisture)
  • 1 tsp vitamin E oil (optional – skin nourishing)

SUPPLIES: Soap mold (silicone works best)

  • Microwave-safe container or double boiler
  • Stirring utensil
  • Spray bottle with rubbing alcohol (for bubbles)

INSTRUCTIONS: Cut the soap base into cubes and melt in the microwave (30-sec. intervals) or double boiler until fully liquid. Stir in dried chamomile flowers, essential oil, honey and vitamin E oil. Carefully pour the mixture into your soap molds. Lightly spray the top with rubbing alcohol to eliminate bubbles. Allow the soap to harden for 2–4 hours at room temperature (or faster in the fridge). Once fully hardened, remove from molds, your chamomile soap!

 

Chamomile Ginger Cinnamon Lemon Tea

INGREDIENTS

  • (1–2 cups)
  • 1 tbsp dried chamomile flowers (or 1 tea bag)
  • 1–2 inches fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 small cinnamon stick (or ½ tsp ground)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1–2 cups water
  • Optional: honey or maple syrup to taste

INSTRUCTIONS Bring water, ginger, and cinnamon to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes (this extracts the warming compounds). Remove from heat and add chamomile. Steep 5–7 minutes. Strain into a cup. Add fresh lemon juice and sweetener if desired.
