BASIL Recipes


Fresh Basil Pesto

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups fresh basil leaves

2 cloves garlic

1/4 cup pine nuts (or walnuts)

1/2 cup olive oil

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt & pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

Blend basil, garlic and nuts.

Slowly add olive oil while blending.

Stir in cheese, salt, and pepper.

Serve over pasta, chicken, or veggies.


Basil Lemon Detox Drink

INGREDIENTS:

1 handful fresh basil

Juice of 1 lemon

2 cups water

Optional: honey

Basil Garlic Butter


INGREDIENTS
:

1/2 cup softened butter

2 tbsp chopped basil

1 clove garlic (minced)


INSTRUCTIONS
Mix well and spread on bread, vegetables, or grilled meats.

 

Tomato Basil Salad


INGREDIENTS
:

Fresh tomatoes (sliced)

Fresh basil leaves

Mozzarella (optional)

Olive oil & balsamic vinegar

Salt & pepper

INSTRUCTIONS: Layer tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella. Drizzle with oil and vinegar. Season and enjoy!
